Opening of the new Running Shed at Middleton Railway

Saturday the 21st of July saw the official opening of the Middleton Railway Running Shed,by Cllr Judith Blake, accompanied by other ward members, Kim Groves, Paul Trustwell and Paul Wray. The shed which has been a new build project for the volunteers for a number of years was financed by donations,  in particular there was a buy a brick scheme which was very successful and the local University Technical College (which used to be Braims Engineering) donated some wood to be used as the floor.  Check out the interview on the radio loop with Janet Auckland, the Railway Commercial Manager, Cllr Kim Groves and Cllr Judith Blake.
Video of the opening speech is on our You Tube Channel - Click here for Opening Ceremony

Our New Studio at The Beeston Skills Hub

We have been busy this week creating our studio, well done to all those who helped and contributed especially as it has cost absolutely nothing, all built with either borrowed, donated, recycled materials and equipment.

Looking forward to next week, we are going to be moving to a new broadcast platform and start to add more content.

We are also looking for anyone from South Leeds who would like to get involved, either to help in the station, contribute by creating pod casts to upload, or just want to be on the radio. Please get in touch.

We are also looking for sponsors and/or advertisers, local bands, community groups.

So if you would like to be involved on any way please call me 07754 391490 (send me a text if there is no answer) or drop an email to steve@southleedsradio.org.uk
